OUR MISSION

Mt. Zion COG is a community of faith believers, rooted in the love of God.

We believe worship is not just found in prayer, it’s something expressed in everything we do. Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the Holy Scriptures, life’s only guidebook. Come and join us to experience God’s grace for yourself.

There’s a special place for you at our welcoming Wooster church.

LEADERSHIP

Pastor Benjamin and Pastor Bethany Crouch

Pastor Benjamin Crouch is a third-generation Pentecostal pastor. His wife Rev. Bethany Crouch have been married since 2005, and have three wonderful children; Kevin, Ariana, and Alex. Pastor Ben has served in many different capacities in ministry from children’s, youth, assistant pastor, outreach, media, fine arts and lead pastor. Pastor Ben is currently serving in boy’s clubs, Ohio Church of God Youth Camp and served on the Ohio Church of God State Youth Board.

Pastor Bethany holds a Master of Science in Education, and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in trauma-focused and youth and adolescent scopes of practice. She also holds a degree in vocal performance, and serves as our minister of music.

Both Pastor Benjamin & Pastor Bethany became a Lay minister in 2008, Exhorter 2010 , Ordained Minister 2011, & Ordained Bishop 2017.

During their time as lead pastors, they have become increasingly passionate about community programming. Both Pastor Ben and Pastor Bethany are very outreach focused. They believe that you have to meet the physical need before you can meet a spiritual. Jesus not only taught the people but He met the physical needs of those around Him as well. The word of God says, in John 13:35 "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

We believe in every ministry from the children to youth, from young adults to senior adults. From the whole family to the community everything shall be done in love.

WHAT TO EXPECT

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE WORSHIP EXPERIENCES?

We meet Sunday mornings- (Sunday Service 10:30am, Kids Ministry 10:30am),

Wednesday nights - 6:30pm, Midweek-RECHARGE Adult classes, Mt Zion Kids ministry & Mt Zion Student ministries teen group.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

There is no dress code for attending Mt. Zion. Some attenders dress casually and some dress up—it’s all good! You are free to come exactly as you are, so wear whatever you are most comfortable in.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

When you arrive at Mt. Zion, you will be greeted with a friendly smile while walking into our lobby.  Help yourself to a cup of coffee on us, and then you can check your kids into our kids’ ministry, Mt. Zion Kids. There will be a 5-minute countdown to let you know when service will start, so you can be sure to get your seat before the service begins!

WHAT IS A WORSHIP EXPERIENCE LIKE?

We always start our experiences with a time of energetic, passionate praise and worship. Once worship is over, we will share a few announcements about what’s happening at our church through video and live communicators. We’ll then continue our worship through an offering, which flows right into the weekend message. Most weekends, our Lead Pastor, Ben Crouch will speak. Then our services closes with a time to respond to God in both worship and prayer.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Our Mt. Zion Kids ministry provides an amazing experience. Visit the Mt. Zion Kids check-in area where our team will register your children and give them a name badge with a parent pick-up tag. Please let us know if your child has any allergies or special requirements when filling out your registration form during the check-in time. If we need to contact you during the worship time, you will receive a text at the number you provided during the initial registration process. At the end of the worship experience, simply show your parent pick-up tag to the security personnel at the check-in/out booth and your child will be released to you.
